Barefoot Havana
Overview
- This excursion is from Havana.
- You’ll start the day meeting the tour guide at 10:00 am at the place agreed with Authentic Cuban Tours.
- Walking by the world-famous bar “El Floridita” (where Ernest Hemingway used to drink his favorite drink “Daiquiri”), you’ll stroll down Obispo Street, the busiest street of Havana, full of restaurants and stores where you will feel like a local walking in the crowd.
- Turning right on one corner we would walk and see some real, absolutely interesting and also safe. You will walk through neighborhoods that will give you a good picture of real life, true old Havana off the beaten path, which would allow you to see real Havana and therefore real Cuba. You would stroll down the streets like a local admiring the architecture and the hidden gems only available in this part of the city.
- Most of all you will get to see the day-to-day life of the Cuban people, this would be in a non-touristy environment which will make your experience more real and unforgettable.
- A very relaxing walking tour of the four squares of old Havana (Saint Francis of Assisi’s square, Old Square, Main Square, and Cathedral Square) is also part of the itinerary, this is a must when it comes to visiting old Havana.
- You’ll stop for a drink at the rooftop bar of Hotel Ambos Mundos where Hemingway lived for a number of years. The view is spectacular and it’s very relaxing to seat and chat with the tour guide to get more insights on the Cuban life.
- From there you’ll keep walking and exploring Old Havana until 12:30 or 1:00 pm when you would go for lunch at a restaurant of your choice or one recommended by the tour guide. When it comes to restaurants, old Havana has a lot of choices and hidden gems that will amaze you indeed.
- After lunch, you will enjoy a one-hour ride in one of the beautiful classic convertible cars from the 50’s. You’ll say goodbye to your tour guide around 3:00 pm having seen the best of Old Havana.

- Authentic Cuban Tours offers you the opportunity to customize the tour to your needs, you don’t need necessarily to follow our program, you can add or remove spots.
- You will pay always at the end of your excursion and always in cash. The price of your excursion included a professional driver and/plus a tour guide in your language. (English, French, or German).
- Lunch is not included, but we help you to find good restaurants where you can taste Typical Cuban Food.
- Admission fees to places or activities are not included.
- American Vintage Cars not convertible have an A/C system but don’t have SeatBelts. They can take a maximum of 4 clients + a driver + a Tour guide. It would be 3 persons in the front seat and 3 persons in the back seat with a total of 6 persons in the car.
- If you are more than 4 people we recommend you do the excursions in a Minivan because it will be less expensive and more comfortable for your friends and family.
